I'm not sure if the crafting.shorten_phases cheat works for baking/cooking, but i was running out of time so i tried using it, not sure if it contrary to popular belief, not any cake will do. My sim had no baking or cooking skill, so i used the stats.set_skill_level cheat to max out the sim's skill so it would go faster.

You cannot buy one, you need to cook one yourself using a fridge and an oven. I need to bake a cake for my sim's upcoming wedding party.
You can make the cake before the wedding starts and place it (with the topping) in your inventory.

Now you can with custom content wedding cakes brought to you by jomsimscreations! Just like any wedding, if you want to properly prepare for the event, you need a nice wedding cake.
